Scarlet blinks, her mind going blank and all her acting skills going out the window. Everything is supposed to end after the scene is done and the director goes "cut!" And now this . . . behind the scenes thing is a bit awkward.

"I'm not," she decides to tell the truth.

The guy makes his way into her apartment. She just stumbles backwards because there's no way she can stop him. It won't even be a fair fight.

"So, care to explain? I was going to propose to my girlfriend after our meal today, but you ruined it all."

Scarlet blinked some more.

The guy was definitely hot. But much more intimidating now. And she felt really, really bad.

"Umm . . . I'm sorry?" she tries.

He raises an eyebrow. "That's it?" he asks. "If sorry's worked,

we wouldn't need policemen, you know."

"Well then, what do you want me to do?" Scarlet throws her hands up in frustration as she tries to act like she's exasperated. And pretend she's not about to pee her pants.

This is good practice too, she comforts herself.

The guy smirks and holy crap, goosebumps form on Scarlet's arm.

"Since you love acting so much, why don't we just go on with it. Pretend you really are pregnant and come meet my girlfriend with me?"

Scarlet stares up, her mouth dropping open in shock.

"W-wait, what??"
