"Or," the other man said with a smirk. "Would you respond better to the name . . . Blue?"

The name punched me in the gut. I made the mistake of looking into Shawn's wide and terrified eyes. I quickly looked away, but it was too late.

My past came rushing back towards me in full force. All the memories and events that I've tried so hard to forget were now right before my eyes.

Four years ago, it was a scene similar to this. I had been presented with a video. Someone I loved dearly was captured and tortured in the video. Two men in suits gave me a proposal. They pretended as if I had a choice, but I went with it and pretended I had a choice. And I said "no."

My love was forever taken from me. And I ran. I changed everything about me -- my

name, my features, my identity. I even tried to change my personality.

After meeting sweet Shawn, I thought my life was back on track. I could walk out of that dark history, but now I'm dragged back in.

"Well, Blue? What's your answer? You know what we can do."

I took another look at Shawn and it almost brings me to my knees. But I couldn't do it. I knew that I would be cruel and heartless, but sacrificing our happiness was for the greater good.

With my back straight, shoulders back and chin up, I stared at the two sneering men.

"My answer is still NO."

Everything went up in flames.
