The shadows in the forest seemed to conceal all sorts of things. But when you shone a light into them, it was clear. Yet none of this could quench Vinny’s fears. He felt himself shaking as he crept through the woods that night. The dry leaves made a loud crunching sound every time he moved in the slightest. He almost jumped out of his skin as a boy leapt out from behind a bush. “Found ya Vinn!!” he hollered, a goofy grin practically glued to his face. “Jesus Fern, you scared the wits outta me!” Vinny exclaimed through his heavy panting. Fern snickered mischievously “You get scared so easily, man. It’s not even hard.” Fern teased. Vinny smacked him over the head playfully, laughing at Fern’s surprised expression. Fern glared at him for a moment before laughing and tackling the other boy to the ground.
