(Zydn's Stry1) Fighting the Zombies

Minecraft

Hi. I am Zayden. Zydn is short for my name.

‘Ahh,’ I said. I looked out the window and saw leaves floating down and the children chasing each other around. Today was my last day at my mum’s house because I am old enough to survive on my own. After 13 years living in mum’s house, I developed my surviving skills. Now I am ready to survive. I packed all my belongings including my chest, furnace, crafting table and bed. Just as I was about to walk out there door: “Honey!” mum said cheerfully, “Going already?”
Great. Why do you have to wake up now? “I made your favourite! Cookies and milk!” Hearing the words ‘cookies and milk’ controlled my mind. “Fine.” I said. Mum gave me a smile and handed me a glass of milk. I sat down and enjoyed the delicious cookies.

After eating the cookies, I waved goodbye and started walking towards the door and… ‘Son!’ Dad walked into the room. ‘You haven’t even received your presents!’ Okay, presents were okay. Dad gave me a stone sword, mum gave me a cake. I felt

so much better. Plus, they each gave me $500!!
Now I have a total of $3145! I felt so happy. Looks like staying for a little while was better than just sneaking out. I again waved goodbye and walked out the door. I could see mum start to cry, and dad’s sad look on his face. I waved my last goodbye, and went off finding a space to build my house…

I built a small house on a tall mountain near the city. This way I will get plenty of space to build farms and other things. So I could sell things and make money. After finishing my house, I ran down the mountain to the city and went to the electronics store. I bought the cheapest TV I saw. It was only $79! I grabbed it and ran all the way back to my house. I was exhausted by then. I hooked the TV on the wall and placed my bed, chest, furnace and crafting table near the bed but left three blocks of space near the wall to do something else. I rested on my bed and ate a slice of cake. Ahh. Felt much better. I used my wooden shovel and dug the dirt

on the three blocks I left. I made a mine and started mining with my wooden pickaxe. When I mined up a little more stone and some coal, I made a stone pickaxe.

After that, I think making a farm would be a good idea. So I crafted a wooden hoe, and took out my water bucket out of my chest. I made a small farm. But what shall I plant? Ah-ha! I thought, I I looked for any long grass and got the seeds for it. Then, I planted them. Nice! Now that the farm is done, I think I am done. I sat down on my bed and turned on the TV. THe news just began to broadcast. Lucky. Didn’t miss anything.

‘We have an emergency broadcast. A giant crowd of zombies are heading towards Blockwise city. They are right now at mob forest. If you want to survive, please be careful. This is a too dangerous situation so this newsletter will only go up to here.’

I shut the screen off. I was entirely speechless. I quickly got out my wooden sword and killed every cow I saw. When I got enough leather, I crafted a leather

cap. I made some torches because it is already sundown. I put them around the house and in the room. I was scared. Terrified. I put on my leather armour and looked at the sun. I held the stone sword dad gave me tightly close to me. I was also worried. Worried about mum and dad. I took a deep, deep, breath. But then, I saw a small shadowy figure in the sun. It moved, then a whole army of them appeared! As they moved closer, I saw exactly what they were. Zombies.
