You cut you hair.

Yes, it was 3:44 AM, but you cut your hair. You couldn't sleep, thinking about how you were so excited to see your big, fluffy owl for the first time in two weeks.

He wouldn't be happy when he saw the change in your hair, but you didn't have any other way to cope with the excitement of flopping into your adorable owl's arms. Duo had to be out of town, since he was in Turkey, learning more Turkish to teach to his other students. You were kind of jealous, since he wasn't just YOUR teacher, but the teacher of others as well.

"Honey, I'm home!" Duo exclaimed as he tossed his luggage onto the couch of the apartment that you two owned together.

"O-oh, hello!!!" you stammered out as you hid the scissors in the trash can, trying to cover up all the hair you cut off.

Duo pounced into the bathroom to find you. "You look different... Did you change something..?"

"N-no, of course not without your permission, s-sir!"

He looked behind you, seeing the tipped over trash can, revealing the scissors. "You DID do something, now what was it?"

You sighed and showed him. "I cut tons of my hair off..."

He glared at you, eyebrows twitching furiously. "How dare you deliberately disobey me!!"

He pulled out his concealed knife from his pocket, but a different one this time. This one was serrated. Much different, as this one would actually hurt. (You have had much experience with getting stabbed, considering you used to run a jail before you met your hot sugar owl.)

"I-I-I-I'm sorry!!!" You sobbed. "I-I-I just w-wanted t-to look g-good f-or youuuuuuuuu"

"Is that so..?" Duo eyed you skeptically.

"Y-yes.... I would never try to hurt my favorite teacher... You're just too fantastic..."

"And how do you say that in Arabic?"

"'Ant rayie jidana..?"

"Bueno, you're doing so good..." He says calmly as he stuffs away his knife. "Always my good little girl...." He scoops you up into his fuzzy wuzzy arms and peppers kisses on your forehead. "I could never stab you... I'm not the man I used to be."

"The man I met in his jail cell?"

"I'm not murdering anybody else... You have nothing to worry about."

"I never said I worried about you murdering anybody else?"

"Shhhhhh, hush now student."

"I-"

He softly laid a feather over your lips to shut you up, and you two danced happily into the night, embracing one another in a warm encapsulment of your undying love.

"Mistakes are the best way to learn, as you always say..." You said lovingly.

He throws you. HARD.
