Bloodlust

Freddie's addicted to blood and pain

Blood trailed down her cheek, mixing with the sweat lining her jaw to make a muddied mixture that dripped down her neck. Her brown eyes were alight with a primal instinct only the sight of blood could give her.

Pink muscle poked out to coat split skin in saliva, a smirk pulling at the corners of the bloodied lips. A predatory gleam appeared, the battered female stalking forwards like a lioness hunting its prey.
'Her opponent glared, reading her stance and raising an arm to swing at the smaller girl when she got close enough. Her body protested greatly, a muffled groan leaving her lips as her pain shot through her side.

The other female’s smirk grew, satisfaction welling in her chest when blood dribbled down her opponents side. She grabbed her arm and gave it a violent jerk, ramming her fist into the toned stomach.

Her opponent was on the ground a second later, a kick being landed to her stomach. She wheezed as her arms wrapped around her stomach, her eyes wide in both disbelief and pain.

“And

the winner, once again, is Freddie!” The announcer grabbed Freddie’s bloodied wrist and yanked it over her head. In his other hand he held a microphone. A sick smirk twisted at his lips that Freddie easily matched.

Cheers rang through the dark, dingy building. Some people were standing, throwing their hands in the air. Others were still sitting but were slamming their feet into the ground. Quite a few were throwing bottles onto the ground or into the walls as a way of congratulations.

Rickety bleachers lined three of the four brick walls, bolted in after someone tried to steal them a few years prior. They were made of pure metal and looked to fall at a single breath.

The final wall was made up of three doors. An office, the changing rooms, and the heavy, metal door that lead to the outside.

Freddie tugged her arm free after a few seconds and stuffed the tips of her fingers into the waistband on her shorts. Her tongue poked out to swipe at a drop of blood that landed on her lip. Her

sharp canines bit into her abused flesh.
“Congrats, Fred.” The female nodded her head with a smirk and stepped over her opponent, who reached a hand out to weakly claw at Freddie’s ankle. Freddie gave her leg a shake and hopped to the changing rooms when the other female let go. Her fists stung with bruises and split knuckles as she started to tug her wrist wraps off.

“That was a great fight.” Freddie looked up with a grin, tugging her blood-stained shirt over her head and continued changing.

“Thanks, J.” Joey smirked and waved a stack of money by her head.

“You got quite a good amount of earning this time ‘round. THat was a bloody few fights.” The primal glint in Freddie’s eyes returned, shining brighter as she swiped blood from her mouth.

Joey watched her old friend grow giddy at the sight of blood swirling down the drain. She sat on the bench and stuffed the stack of money into an envelope. “You know, I’m starting to think you're massively fucked up.”

Freddie winke at her manager

as she tugged the final piece of clothing-her worn leather jacket that smelled intensely of smoke-over her shoulders. She grabbed her worn bag and threw it over her shoulder, making sure it dug into a bruise. A shiver ran down her spine at the feel of pain.

“Thanks, J. That’s probably the sweetest thing you’ve ever said about me.” Freddie threw an overdramatic hand over her chest as she talked. She gave another wink as Joey set the envelope of money in her awaiting hand. “See ya, JJ.”

Joey gave a mocking salute. “Have fun with the move!”

Freddie rolled her eyes and grabbed a cigarette as she slammed the metal door open with her shoulder. She lit the cancer stick as she started the walk home.
