The Debt of a Soul (pt.1)

Everything has a price.

As i heard the door creak open and a chill wind would slip in, i would walk towards the window opposite from the door, i knew he would come, he always comes. A cold chill shot through the room an the candles all went out except for the one to my right. I stood there holding my neckless and staring through the window "is it time" i said looking at the snowfall outside, the snow was bright, it looked as if it had been painted by the most talented artist, it was perfect, the sun was just rising, just over the pick of the mountain. I turned an looked towards him "is it my time?" i asked once again staring at him, he was dressed in a dark black suit, his undershirt was a bright blood-red, and his tie was dark black, his paints matched his suit, his boots under the leggings of the pants were black, his hands were covered by gloves, and he wore a black fedora with a red cloth warped around the base. His face was something i couldn't see, it was like a black void, it was as if that space there

was empty. He would say nothing as he walked towards me, each step he took the room got darker behind him, i felt a deep cold sensation go through me, but i didn't feel a single ounce of fear, i wasn't scared, i knew it was my time and i had accepted it, maybe that's why he hasn't taken me, he wants me to fear what is to come. He would stop in front of me from a short moment before he would walk past an stop at the window. He would look outwards towards the sunset, resting his hand on the outline of the window leaving a dark burned like mark, then he finally spoke "no, it isn't your time yet" he said as he turned towards me, he voice was dark, it sounded evil but at the same time, it had a gentle touch to it, i could tell he wasn't lying, yet i could not understand why, but i knew that i could believe him, i felt I could trust him, yet still i can't see what he looked like, only 10 inches from my face i still couldn't see his face, it was like looking in an endless void that had no end.

"then why are you here?" i asked looking towards him, i held my neckless tight, why had he came to see me if it wasn't my time, he turned around and started to walk towards the dark abyss that had followed him in, once he had got to the door he went to walk out, but would turn around and face me "soon" he said as he shut the door, what did he mean soon? why only soon, that didn't tell me when, that just left me more confused then i already was. I quickly walked towards the door an opened it looking down the hallway in my house, he was gone, he vanished as if he wasn't here.
